"There's just been this huge explosion in roles, and every single company is looking for more people," Katie Pereira, the sustainability director at recruitment agency Allen & York, said. Sustainability manager was one of the fastest-growing jobs across Europe and the seventh-fastest-growing job in the UK, according to data from LinkedIn published earlier this year. "The demand for sustainability professionals has really jumped," Andrew Murray, a former senior environment manager at Vodafone, said. While companies often look for a degree, Allen told Insider that some businesses were "starting to remove the need for higher-education qualifications."
